About Bobby and Alyssa
Bobby
has been performing as a clown / balloon artist for over 20 years! He worked as
a street performer for many years to make extra money.
When
Bobby was ten years old he was often told that he had the talent and the ability
to make people comfortable enough to laugh at themselves and the world around
them. After the clown bug bit him, his parents knew they couldn't just send him
to a regular high school, so he attended the High School For Creative & Performing
Arts (1980-1984). It was there that he perfected comic timing, physical comedy,
drama, and years of dance classes - even though he didn't look good in leg warmers!!!
During
summer vacations, Bobby worked street performing and ballooning in Atlantic City,
Wildwood, Ocean City, and Seaside Heights, NJ, as well as, Penns Landing
in Philadelphia, PA and The Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD. Winter seasons he performed
for the Children's Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, The Jewish Federation,
The Philadelphia School System, and many Restaurants.
Alyssa
was born in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of Penn State University, she began face
painting at football game tail gate parties. Upon graduation in 1994 with a B.S.
in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management; Alyssa obtained employment
at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. While working at the casino, Alyssa
was responsible for coordinating a wide variety of catered events from corporate
training seminars to unique, exotic themed parties.
In
1997, Alyssa and Bobby met at a club in Philadelphia. Ironically enough when they
met they were both switching gears professionally! Bobby was working in the computer
industry and Alyssa was working in the insurance industry. After marrying in 1999
the couple relocated to South Florida in 2000. It did not take long for Bobby
to revisit his love for entertaining and providing joy and education through balloon
art. Alyssa started painting faces to spend time with her husband. In addition,
Alyssa realized she had a knack for sculpting balloons. This is of course attributed
to watching her husband!
Alyssa
and Bobby are committed to constantly improving their art and are continually
striving to offer as much service and value to any event. In 2003, the couple
was approached to decorate for a Bat Mitzvah. The response to the decorations
was overwhelming! Alyssa and Bobby now offer decorating services which include
unique, customized balloon centerpieces and decorations.
Bobby
and Alyssa live in Boynton beach with their twin babies Shelby and Josh.
